Recoil | Weapon Kick and Damage
Give every gun on your server its own kick. ML Recoil controls camera recoil, climbing spray, aim sway and movement accuracy per weapon, and retunes damage without touching any game file. A trained shooter can earn a steadier aim through ML Skills.

Overview
Set recoil, aim sway and damage per weapon. Adjust how recoil builds during firing and how movement or optional skill progression affects it.
What to expect
- Per-weapon profiles: camera lift, side kick, climb, shake and aim sway
- Spray builds shot after shot up to a ceiling, then settles
- Standing still is clean, sprinting throws the aim, crouching steadies it
- Retune any weapon's damage without touching game files
- One switch turns off instant headshot kills for your server rules
- Trained shooters aim steadier through the optional ml_skills link
- Hooks fire on every shot, equip and aim change for your own scripts
Key Features
Per-Weapon Recoil Profiles
Every weapon you list gets its own feel: vertical camera lift, a randomised left and right kick, classic recoil, a camera shake preset, shake strength and aim sway. Tune each gun from the config or the admin panel, preview its recoil and publish the profile for players. The panel offers 28 camera shake presets.
Climbing Spray Control
Hold the trigger and the recoil builds shot after shot up to a ceiling you choose, then settles once the player stops firing for a moment. Set the per shot growth, the maximum and the reset time.
Movement-Based Accuracy
Recoil scales with how the player moves. Standing still is clean, walking and sprinting add a penalty, and dropping into a low crouch steadies the aim. Each multiplier is yours to set.
Aim-Down-Sights Sway
Each weapon sets its own hand sway while aiming, separate from movement penalties. Skill rules can reduce sway without changing the profile's other effects.
Classic Recoil Climb
A global switch adds GTA's classic vertical recoil climb on top of the camera kick, with the amount set per weapon. Turn it off for camera kick only if you prefer a cleaner feel.
Damage Tuning Without Game Files
Set the exact damage of any weapon without editing weapon files. The script works the value out against the gun's vanilla base and applies it, kept inside a minimum and maximum you choose.
Editable Vanilla-Damage Table
Damage is figured against an editable base damage table covering the vanilla arsenal. Running custom weapon stats already? Update the base values and every weapon stays accurate. The base table ships with 60+ vanilla weapons; guns you leave out keep their vanilla damage.
Headshot-Kill Toggle
Disable instant headshot deaths with a server-wide setting. The setting applies on spawn and restores the normal behavior when the resource stops.
ML Skills Integration
With optional ML Skills integration, a player's accuracy rank modifies recoil. Recoil profiles also work without ML Skills.
Skill Rules by Weapon or Class
Apply a skill rule to every weapon, a weapon class or selected weapons. A weapon rule takes priority over a class rule, then the catch-all rule. Choose the recoil effects to reduce and the multiplier for each unlocked rank.
Live Tuning in a Test Range
Open the admin panel and test a weapon in an isolated range at 10, 25, 50 or 100 metres. Adjust recoil, sway, shake and damage while watching grouping stats, publish the changes for players, or export the profiles to your config.
Pistol-Whip Blocker
An optional switch stops the melee pistol whip while a chosen weapon is in hand. It steps aside inside a vehicle so drivebys still work.
Driveby Recoil Suppression
When a player is doing a driveby, the camera kick steps aside automatically so vehicle combat stays smooth.
Per-Weapon Rule Override
A weapon profile can name an existing skill rule through SkillOverride.RuleId, taking priority over the rule selected by its weapon class or scope.
Let Your Scripts Watch Every Shot
Open hooks fire on every shot, on weapon equip and on aim changes. Edit the open hook file to grant experience, feed analytics, or skip recoil on specific guns.
Optional Add-On Weapon Pack
Includes twenty add-on weapon profiles with recoil and base damage entries. They load when your inventory registers those weapons, and are then editable in the panel. Remove the block if you do not use them.
Idle While Holstered
The script idles while a weapon is holstered and does its work during aimed combat, then restores damage and shake when it stops.
